Millers Baseball Improves their record to 6-3 on their inaugural season


Game one: Peyton Throws Shutout as JMU Millers Baseball Defeats Arlington Baptist


Peyton Ford had all the right stuff on Friday for JMU Millers Baseball, allowing zero runs and besting Arlington Baptist by a score of 7-0 JMU Millers Baseball secured the victory thanks to five runs in the sixth inning. Kade Massey, Quincy Kelly, and Nick Webre each had RBIs in the big inning. JMU Millers Baseball tallied five runs in the sixth inning. JMU Millers Baseball's big inning was driven by singles by Kelly and Webre and a double by Massey. A double by Cantrell in the first inning was a positive for Arlington Baptist. Game two: JMU Millers Baseball smashes 3 Homers and Holds Off Arlington Baptist for Victory


Despite seeing its five-run lead whittled down by the end, JMU Millers Baseball still held off Arlington Baptist for a 5-3 victory on Saturday. Arlington Baptist scored three runs in the failed comeback on a error in the fifth, a error in the seventh, and a single by #6 in the seventh. Troy Morel led the JMU Millers Baseball to victory on the mound. The pitcher lasted five innings, allowing two hits and one run while striking out two.
